Living Room
After selecting an area rug, I designed a Photoshop mockup of the space to get an idea for the general aesthetic I wanted to go for. Before purchasing any paint, furniture, or decor, the mockup must be approved. Once approved, "finishing touches" like wall art, lamps, plant stands, etc., can vary within reason. Scroll down to see the finished space vs the mockup.

This was the living room in its original state on the date of purchase.

Luxury Vinyl Plank has been installed, and the sofa was purchased.

Using one of the photos taken after replacing the floors, I mocked this living room up in Photoshop. The area rug in the photo was a screenshot of the carpet ordered online, as I was waiting for it to arrive in the mail to see the true colors up close and personal. I then used the mockup to recreate the living room as closely as possible, depending on the availability of materials and similar decor.

The red brick fireplace was the first thing that had to go following the flooring. The color clashed with the cool, calming vibe I wanted to create in the living room.

I used brick whitewash to transform the brick from that dark red, or white!
